About the author
I have a strong suspicion that Rotary International is secretly in the match-making business.
My name is Ryan Hardin, and I am a visionary.
I work for an amazing company called ChamberPlanet.com, and we provide free social-networking websites for Chambers of Commerce.
I'm a workaholic, I'm always thinking, and I absolutely love my job. When I first met Rotary, my life was great. But then, it got even better.
Rotary GSE changed my life
Rotary International found me. Being a potential candidate for one of Rotary's exchange programs, I was asked to submit an application for Rotary International's Group Study Exchange (GSE).
I was accepted, and we set off to tour the Dominican Republic. I went to the Dominican Republic to exchange knowledge and ideas with other professionals in the field of information technology.
Now, fast-forward 15 months, and you'll find not just me, but my entire family and business partners participating in their own cultural exchange in the Dominican Republic!
But this time, I'm not exchanging ideas; I'm exchanging vows. Yep, I got hitched!
I must admit that this was definitely not my intention before going on the trip, but it sure is a nice reward!
It's quite funny, because I'm not fluent in Spanish, and neither is my family.
But it's true.
I am married to an amazing woman that I met on the very first day of my trip. She's the daughter of Rotarian family who hosted me, and I'll never forget our first conversation; we drew pictures to convey ideas!
The story of how we realized we were perfect for each other is one people definitely enjoy hearing.
Invite me to your club and hear the story firsthand!
Since then, I have been visiting many Rotary clubs, speaking about my upcoming book, The First Question, and also sharing this amazing story of how I met my wife through one little Rotary trip.
Contact me today, and I look forward to speaking to your club!
